Come to Texas. Flower Mound, to be exact. It is about 45 minutes out of Dallas. The FMHS Auditorium holds 800 and we have a lot of musicians and music lovers who would love to have you, about five hundred, then add about 1,000,000 mormons and we've got one rockn' concert! I'll call my principal. And if not at school then the Stake center will do! You guys are the rootinest tootinest a capella group in the whole western hemisphere! (maybe in the world, if your lucky)

my cousin gave my brother a burnt copy of your cd, and now I sing your songs to all my friends and drive them crazy. it's really funny!
Oh dear, the CD was burnt? Hope the scorch marks didn't interfere with the sound. Tragic when that happens.    —moosebutter
Harry Potter look-a-like #1
May 31, 2005, 12:04 pm CDT
I've been told I look like Harry Potter. On random occasions, people stick their head out of their car while I'm crossing the street and ask me if I'm his stunt double. For example:
"Hey, are you Harry Potter's stunt double?"
I mean, I may have that untamed black hair and glasses. I might even have a scar on my forehead that was the result of a running-downhill accident. But it's really outrageous that people would deliberately ask me if I'm Harry Potter or his stunt double without giving me twenty dollars or a kawakian monkey lizard. Give them a hoot for me... tell them there's Harry Potter clones walking around in Provo.

Hey Weston! Do you rememder me? I'm Aubrey, Michall, Weslys, and etc cousin. Do you remember Marc? You saw my mom in Utah and sighned our see dee. One of my favorit songs are Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Mousqito. I like the verse of Mousqito you made about Weslys face during the BYU fire works in Utah. I sing Moosebutter at school alot. In fact all I really do at recess any more is sing Moosebutter. I've got a few friends to like Moosebutter. I actually got one absessed with it just like I am. You guys are great. How do you come up with such funny stuff Tim?! I listen to your music almost every single day! Sometimes someone in our family just starts singing Moosebutter than we all burst into song. Any chance of a concert in Kirkland Washington? Oh ya, Weston, peaple in the Wride family rock!

I would like to "heap praise and adulation upon moosebutter." I was watching Phantom of the opera the other day, and when the "music of the night" song came on, I burst out laughing and started singing the lyrics to Psycho. All my friends stared at me like I WAS a psycho, which is a regular occurrence. Anyways, I would just like to let you know, whenever anyone asks me (which isn't very often, since all my friends are Siberian Tigers) what my favorite group is, I always say Moosebutter. thanks. sniff. oh, i'm getting emotional. sniff. thanks again. sniff. goodbye.

I must say that I am glad you guys are still going strong! I remember seeing you live on BYU campus (at some event.. don't remember), and thought you guys rocked the caves!.... uh... I don't think I'm as funny as you. Anyway, can't wait to come see you again (as I'm in California right now). Keep up the good work. Any chance you guys will ever do a tour out of Utah? PS.. my favorite song is still Captain Organic Vegetable Man. Any thoughts of doing a song about BYU? after all, i think all of you went there....

Have a wonderful summer!

Just wanted to say that, along with everyone else who has signed here, there are squirrels in your hair. No, you guys all rock potatoes, and I love seeing you perform. I tried singing "Star Wars" to my dad to kind of explain what you guys sing (even though there are no words to describe... you hear such tones and have to think... MOOSEBUTTER!), and it wasn't nearly as memorable as when I actually played it for him... he also thoroughly enjoyed "Psycho", as did I. Awesome-ness. My roommates and I always had your songs stuck in our heads last year, so way to go. You brought my apartment and my family closer together with screwball comedy music.

Bought the SeeDee from your site after getting around to listening to some old ftp'd Dr. Demento shows... SPEW..

I have to tell you, I had to get an industrial lobotomy corkscrew and bore the lyrics to Star Wars out of my head. "Nobody cares if you upset a droid" was positively taking over my life. I was repeating it like some sort of hypnotic mantra.

Well, I got it out, but I am listening to it again as I write this, so I'll probably be hopelessly hooked forever..

Superb job on Psycho: The Musical. Really nice singing. Very sonorous..

Star Wars is great. You know, there is an ametuer Star Wars Fan-film competition. George Lucas even judges one of the categories.

You should get this song to him somehow...

I have been arbitrarily shouting out to my wife: "I'M IN THE LIBRARY!!!" ... despite the fact that I do NOT own a Cell Phone. She has no clue what the heck I am talking about, but it cracks her up none the less. Oh well...

Keep up the good work, follow your bliss and ignore the naysayers... you guys are tops in my book!

Davey

PS. When are you going to come to Montana!!!?? Missoula, Helena, Bozeman...

WOOOooooooo KIE

WOOOooooooo KIE
As long as we bring you and your wife closer together... THAT'S the important thing.
We will be in Montana in October, if things go according to plan. Stay tuned to the website for more juicy details.   —moosebutter

As you wish. Although I don't know your address, and you can talk to my lawyers about my drunk driving citation. by the way, I happened to accidentally ruin my third moosebutter CD, because I went swimming with my CD player. I'm buying another one
Like our CDs, we also are destroyed when we come in contact with water. Glen shrieks, "What a world!" and melts; Chris dissolves like so much Kool-Aid powder; Tim grows bubbles on his skin which then become cocoons which then hatch small, greener, evil-versions of himself who then take over the town until lured into a movie theater and are then conveniently blown up except for one who gets it, anyway, in the end; Weston rusts.   —moosebutter

This past weekend, I had my 3 sons (15, 12, 10), my two nephews (10, 11), and my niece (7) at my house. I popped in your CD and was amazed. All 6 of them sat around the CD player and sang along and giggled and generally had a great time. I personally love your CD and giggle anytime I hear it. This is a awsome band! I'm am part of Liahona School and these guys have preformed for us a couple of times. I think you guys should storm the Acadamy of Country Music Awards, throw killer monkeys at Kenny Chesney, drop Tobey Kieth into a bottomless pit and make Tim McGraw eat old spinach. March 30, 2005, 12:51 pm CST
Jeff(my husband) takes your "see dee" to work all the time. He loves Star Wars and sings Cell Phone on the road. He kept asking when you're going to have another CD.
HsinYi, your husband has good taste. And to answer his persistent queries, we are currently working on TWO count 'em TWO CDs... one is our "holiday" album and the other is a "secular" album. Holiday album should be released Nov 2005; the secular album should be out this Summer. We're not making any promises, but should things go smoothly, you'll be enjoying new tasty moosebutter tunes by July.
Speaking of albums, please check out the news/musings page about contributing financially to the moosebutter cause.   —moosebutter

But I've got a question for you guys. Is Harry Potter spoofing another song, or did you guys write it? Cuase it sounds really familiar and its bothering the heck out of me.
Harry Potter is in fact a parody of another song:

Yes, we danced to and did the hand motions of "Popcorn Popping." It's always great fun to be the only Mormons in the audience and get what's going on. It's like when you watch "The Singles Ward" with a lot of nonmembers. Anyway, hope you all come to Colorado again, and I'll see if I can find my pictures I took of the performance at RedFish.

As I sit in a spinning chair and type this entry, I remember those days when there was a dancing aardvark in my left sandal, and as he did a dance somewhere between the Charleston and the Disco, I thought of the days when I listened to the Alphabet Song and sang along. Moosebutter, your songs fill my hopes and dreams (and sometimes my nightmares) as I walk along roads where Ghost Chickens have trod.

You guys rock! Be on the lookout for some new drawings coming your way!

And I say hi to the fellow Court who was second to post on the Guestbook of Moosebutterdom.

Ooohh, ahhh, the Moosebutter guest book of wonder, brings chills to my skin, and a tear to my heart.
You guys are talented. No really, I tried to gargle water to the tune of carol of the bells last night, and I got very wet. I bow to Butter.

We miss the Borders gigs...any chance of you doing more of them? They were great!
oh maternal moosebutter matron, we miss the Borders gigs, too. Now, only distance prevents us... distance and an allergy to literature...
We just might zip out a few Borders shows this Summer, especially as we work out the bugs on new songs we're putting on the new CDs... so stay tuned!   —moosebutter
