Listening to your music is great for stress release. My daughter was "Wookie-ing" in school and she got the best looks...she busted out laughing and had a great day...her band director thinks she is nuts now...but hey, that is band for you. Keep up the good work. Would love to see you in the DC area sometime...

My 9-month-old son LOVES your song "Still the Shortest." He busts up laughing whenever I play it for him, no matter how often I do (especially when I dance him around while it plays). I only wish you guys would do a show in New York!
Your 9-month-old likes because he's already taller than the guy who sang the song. OHHHH, SNAP!!!   —moosebutter

OH. MY. GOSH! Tell me who I need to call. I will wield my pregnant belly like a samurai warrior. My little boy LOVED that video. Now what will we do when he's up sick in the night! Can I get a copy?
Wielding your belly is akin to an elderly man shouting as loud as he/she wants to, without anyone making him stop.   —moosebutter

Hey guys, really love your show.

I'm not too sure how popular you guys are in Canada, but I'd love to see you guys come and perform in Toronto, or wherever.

I know Corey Vidal is Canadian, and lives in Ontario as well, so maybe he'd go and see your show too.

Keep up the amazing work, you've expanded my passion for music more, too bad I'm not a singer, I'm an "instrumentalist" if that's a word.

I'm so thankful for Corey's video, because he led me to you guys! I prefer your Star Wars video more because you guys are absolutely HILARIOUS! Glen's facial expressions KILL me!

AND, Viking horns? Oh No! (I have a photo of myself wearing viking horns, complete with "golden braids of yarn" on my myspace site (profile name is snakelady, scroll down the page, it's on the left. The photo is probably 12 years old... and just as embarassing today). (I'm telling you that because I owe you guys a few laughs, so I hope the photo works!)

here is an awesome story that happened to me and my family at the zoo. a couple months after your concert at the utah cultural center where we had bought your moose t-shirt, we went to the zoo and my older sister was wearing the shirt and while we were walking around people stared at her funny wondering what was on that shirt and what it ment, when we were done we went in the gift shop and grabed a few things and when we got up to the counter to buy them, all of a sudden the cashier exclaims," OH MY GOSH, I LOVE MOOSEBUTTER, I SOO WISH I COULD HAVE A SHIRT LIKE THAT. THEY ARE THE BEST GROUP IN THE WORLD." it kind of blew our minds to find out that someone out of nowhere was so excited to se a moosebutter sign.
That cashier was me.   —moosebutter

I doubt you guys remember me, but about four or five years ago you came and sang at my middle school (Cedar Middle). I was an almost automatic convert (the only time I wasn't was after being embarrassed at the concert either that night or the next day. I'm the one who was mouthing "Harry Potter" near the end). You guys seriously rock! You should come and do another show in Cedar! Oh, Weston, it's too bad you never got to sub for my mom...we all would've loved it!
Don't remember you. Do remember the bird that got in the auditorium.   —moosebutter

NO!!! The one show that isn't private is the week before our spring break. So much for our plans for our 2009 spring break trip to see a moosebutter show.
Oh well, maybe the next year. And that will hopefully be easier as we [hopefully] will be in Idaho.

Hey I first saw you guys on the movie "Sons of Provo" and you were way awesome. When my friend told me that you guys were a real band, I flipped and jumped right on youtube to find you. Also, a few months back, my friend did Psycho: The Musical for the Mr. Northridge Pagent (Northridge High School in Layton Utah). It was way good but you guys are better.

Hey Moosebutter,
I must say that I love you guys. I am very fond of A cappella groups, and am relieved that there are still groups that can perform decently. =/ I thank my friend Brandon for introducing me to ya'll with " John Williams is the Man"[Star Wars] And that cracked me up, A few of my friends are planning on doing it for a talent show, maybe I'll send it to you guys, if it is good.

I do have to say, as a choral-conductor-hopeful, that your group is an inspiration to me. In my life currently, Music has become more of a chore than a joy. But you four have shown me that it can be fun, it really can. I thank you for being you.

Ha, ha. Yah.   —moosebutter

You guys are awesome.
You make my year! Listen
-ing to you makes me happy
when I'm sad or very mad
quite unlike my Daddy!
When something is bad

Quite unlike my mother
And especially my brother
Listening to y'all
Is so fun
In the mall or the car or the hall
Or the parking lot- I'm not done...

I've just heard you for the first time
It feels like "the muse"
Has now become mine
Creativity that I don't want to lose

I did not ask for it
Which is what gives me a fit
cause I figure that's only when
She will visit
I needed this last week with my FINE BALLPOINT PEN

You are in my head
Even when i go to bed
I need a shrink
Ringo Star, John Lennon,
Paul McCartney, George Harrison
-Its not what you think-
Weird Al Yankovic, Fred Astaire (turkey style)
Though I could go on
forever Ranking you with the high of profile
I'll just eat pizza off clean tile
and watch TOTORO

Hi, Moosebutter. Sorry for not posting in so long. The funniest thing came to pass in my 7th period class, world music. Yup. I'm a teenager now. My teacher, Mrs. Jensen, was showing us Alp horns on iTunes. I was sitting in the front row. The music was on medium, so the whole class could hear. When it was over, what should come on but The Alphabet Song! Everyone was laughing. BTW, my birthday was on the 9th of November. When are yours? There's a sound, sound, sound for every letter of the alphabet! A sound from you. A sound from me!

Funny story, my Relief Society president in Florida thought the Sons of Provo were a real band...little did she know that they were not and Moosebutter really was. You guys rock! I think you should set up dating profiles for each other and then go on awkward blind dates so you can write songs about them and stuff. Sorry I'm a little high on cold medicine...awkward... hi

Wow... i think i am the only person who looked you up after seeing you on sons of provo, and not even knowing that you were on youtube until today! wow... i think i'm very behind the times... i gues that's what i get for not living in Utah or Idaho... and having to wait like... years... for any halestorm movie to be popular here (were still stuck on singles ward)!

Hey guys! I'm yet another listener reeled in from the Youtube video, and I have to say, I'm really sorry that I haven't heard ahout you before now! I purchased all the songs you guys have (Use that $25 wisely, you've earned it!), and I'm enjoying them immensely. I especially love Psycho: The Musical. Please don't break up; I'd like to talk to the Student Activities Council at my college and see if they can book you guys, and they can't do that if you're broken up! :-(

Keep making the awesome music!

P.S. Random fact: My Boy Scout leader would sing Ghost Chickens in the Sky when we were on camping trips. I'd never made the connection until today.
Tell them we won't break up if they book us. But only them.   —moosebutter

Corey's video is a top notch lip sync, but I think you guys deserve a little more credit and recognition then he's giving you! The song totally makes that video, and I almost felt mislead by his info...anyhow, great job, loving all the stuff on the site!

We already _did_ a Twilight song. It's called "The Googies."    —moosebutter
Very curious
October 2, 2008, 05:50 pm MDT
So, how did the lip synch go? What song did you end up using?
We used 'Natural Woman' by Aretha Franklin. It went much better than we thought it would.

Jack, you should lip synch Uncle Earl's Hairpiece. There are plenty of places for hilarious drama and the song is catchy and fun. It would definitely be a winner.

Have you recently read the past pages of the moosebook? Its halarious. Is that how you spell that? Anyway, you guys have to start performing again. Megan and I are so coming out for college next year and what would make it the best college experience ever? Moosebutter shows! Just think of it, for your #1 fans, well, mostly only fans, but we try to look past that, in Indiana. Have a good day! (or night, when whoever is reading this reads that line.)
